A dopplebock from Capital Brewing, Middleton, Wisconsin. 

It's fairly unusual to find a pale bock made in America, much less a pale Dopplebock, but this is no ordinary American brewery.  Floral, creamy, lively carbonation, lace that lasts all the way to the bottom of the glass.  Sweet (as most bock beers are) but surprisingly complex:  malty flavor with just the right balance of hop flavors and aromas.  This is an excellent beer.

7.8%abv, winter/spring seasonal, serve at 48°F
