Founder’s Black Rye

A rye beer from Founders Brewing, Grand Rapids Michigan.  Black Rye is one of those beers that took me a while to appreciate.  Now that I've had a couple of samples on several different occasions, I've figured this beer out.  Superb beer.  Black flavors (roasted and black malts) permeate the texture of this silky smooth ale, with a nicely balanced hop bitterness, and that slightly dry rye flavor.  Harmonious blend of flavors, and terribly drinkable.  Highly recommended.
