Goose Island Kilgubbin Red
An Irish-style Amber from Goose Island, Chicago.
The unusual name comes from the island where Goose has its main brewing facility. The Chicago River splits just north and west of downtown Chicago, creating an ‘island’ in the middle of both branches of the river. This island was home to Irish squatters a hundred years ago when immigrants flooded our area. They called it Kilgubbin, after an area of Ireland from which many of the residents hailed.
